This Christmas, the unforgettable pupils of St. Bernadette’s are heading to Wales to compete in the National choir contest; “A song for Christmas’. New supply teacher Mr Peterson (David Tennant) has the unenviable task of trying to curb the hysterical enthusiasm of the kids – not to mention Mr Poppy (Marc Wootton) – but reluctantly finds himself getting swept along!
Under the stars on one magical night the sparkle and shine of Christmas once again comes to life in Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger!
Damaris provided a set of primary school lessons for music lessons and choirs; a church all-age service; and church children’s activities. (For more information and download links, see the bottom of this post.)
The videos below include several songs from the film, plus some specially-created videos featuring the film’s creators.
If you need to view any of these videos offline, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide you with a download.
The School Lessons enable pupils to learn about how to write lyrics, music and put them together. It is designed so it can (optionally) culminate in a public performance of the song. It uses the videos provided above.
The church resources comprise an All Age Service which contains a selection of activities for use as part of a service of all-age worship. This is accompanied by a Powerpoint presentation. There is also a set of Children’s Activities for leaders of children’s groups in church which contains a selection of activities for use with children of upper primary school age. Both resources use the videos provided above.
